Units Guide Protoss

Probe
Probes is the mining units of protoss race, he has less life then other races but his shield can regenete as other protoss units and structures, using this hability pro players usally use them to haress the enemy, causing confusion and tension early on.

Zealot
Zealot is the basis of Protoss defences, is kinda slow without the charge upgrade, but he is pretty strong against everything that he can hit, because he deal two attacks at once. Awesome tanking unit.

Good against: Immortal, Zergling, Marauders.
Weak against:Hellion, Collossus, Roaches, Reapers.

Stalker
This is a awesome unit, he's fast deal a good damage and above all can blink. This hability can be used to surprise enemy, flee and catch fleeing units. Making good use of this unit is the key to Protoss win.

Good against: Reapers, Mutalisk, Void Rays.
Weak against:Immortal, Zergling, Marauders.

Sentry

Sentries are trouble, you'll learn fast enough, lol. For real his skill tech is obviously strong replelling enemies attacks dealing some damage, supporting all your troops with Guardian Shield and yet using force field to divide enemy troops, making your escape possible or even guarding your ramp.

Good against:Zergling, Zealot.
Weak against:Reaper, Hydralisk, Stalker.

This is a vital unit of Protoss race, because if you don't have detection then you are completly weak against DarkTemplars and Banshee. Well in the combat if you get your observer killed you'll face destruction if your enemy have some cloaked units.

Good against:Banshee, DarkTemplar, Roaches.
Weak against:Missile Turret, Spore Crawler, Photon Cannon.

Immortal
Well as I say if you leave a Immortal alive so much he'll cause you troube. His Hardened Shield reduces all damage to only 10, yes if you have a DarkTemplar with his 50 damage on Immortal you'll cause only 10 of Shield damage. In other hand he's pretty weak against zerglins and marines, But deal a LOT of damage on armored units. Be aware Immortal is caming.

Good against:Siege Tank, Roach, Stalker.
Weak against:Marine, Zergling, Zealot.

Damage:20(+ 2 per upgrade) bonus vs. Armored 30 (+ 3 per upgrade).

Warp Prism
This Protoss unit is quite interesting he can surprise enemy on his base warping-in protoss units on his own mineral line, with is a terrible strong skill if you have planty of warpgates. He can work as transporter too so you can drop units on enemy base then warp some more units to surprise enemy.

Good against: ---
Weak against: Marine, Void Rays, Mutalisks.

Colossus
Man if you have only ground units and have to face this enemy you better do some awesonme micro play, because this one deals so many damage on ground units in a narrow space that will turn your army into dust. But if you have this one, just guard his back and let the Extended Thermal Lances do the job.

Good against:Marine, Zergling, Zealot.
Weak against:Viking, Corruptor, Immortal.

Shield:150
Range: Ranged 6 (9 with Extended Thermal Lances upgrade).
Damage:15 dual attack (+ 2 per upgrade) of linear splash damage.
Armor:1(+ 1 per upgrade)

Requeriment:Robotics Facility.
Especial Abilities: Cliff Walk.



Phoenix
If you like some air micro, this Protoss unit is awesome !! He has speed and can attack while he moves, making him even better. The only terrible thing is that he can hit only air units, but he has one skill that raises a unit from the ground to air, so you can attack. It's Awesome against enemy's Tanks and Immortals.

Good against:Banshee, Mutalisk, Void Ray.
Weak against:Battle Cruiser, Corruptor, Carrier.

Void Ray
Void Rays are perhaps the most strong unit against buildings with makes him a excelent haress type. This ones are almost not seen in a fight, but hits enemy base every time that a fight occurs causing a lots of damage.

Good against:Battle Cruiser, Corruptor, Carrier.
Weak against:Viking, Mutalisk, Phoenix.

High Templar
Well High Templars is not a easy unit to master, he has some great skills but cannot fight without them, so research his skills first then put then in a fight. He is ridicusly strong against light units and yet a amazing counter aganist some units that has Energy. Use him propely and win battles.

Good against:Marine, Hydralisk, Sentry.
Weak against:Ghost, Colossus, Roach.

Archon
Two templares can morph into a strong Archon. The main thing about archons is that they can be produced if you have two templares only, so if your High Templar is about toget killed or run out of mana, they can turn thenselves into Archon. They are amazing against biological units and can tank great in a fight.

Good against:Mutalisk.
Weak against:Thor, Ultralisk, Immortal.
